Overview
As DHE continues to grow, they needed a seamless expansion to their headquarters. It’s always a privilege to be chosen by one of your trade partners to design-build their own facilities. As a long-time partner and trusted trade partner of Lakewood, DHE Plumbing and Mechanical, based in Grandville, MI, knew they could rely on us to bring the same level of quality and commitment to their expansion project.
Following the successful construction of their headquarters with Lakewood in 2018, DHE was ready to expand their space. With our intimate understanding of the existing facility, we were uniquely positioned to seamlessly integrate the new addition with the original structure, both in design and aesthetics. The expansion consisted of private offices, a tailor-made board room, and a light kitchen space.
Despite supply chain challenges with lighting fixtures and glass, wetland and easement constraints with neighboring properties, precise brick matching for seamless exterior visuals, and a facility that needed to remain fully operational during construction, the Lakewood team worked closely with trades and DHE to ensure the final space met our shared standards of excellence.

We grew so close that their Supt. would take breaks with our Team in our breakroom and our Teams would talk about life—not work.
