Overview

The new 10,044-sf Georgetown Connections Senior Center blends a progressive style with a vast amount of space for members and guests to explore, gather, and connect. The one-story building includes offices, a computer lab, conference space, exercise room with water views, a collaborative recreation room that serves many purposes, a full kitchen, an exterior covered canopy area, and sufficient storage.

The façade is comprised of cement board siding, large glazed window units, a canopy along the waterside, and a combination of standing seam metal roofing and architectural shingles.

A Douglas Fir pergola highlights the main entrance and creates a welcoming feel for visitors and members. The combination of colors and materials on the façade create visual stimulation that blends in with the surrounding landscape. Concrete patios and seat walls frame the waterside of the building and provide an oasis to absorb the beautiful scenery. A concrete walkway connects the building to the one-mile path surrounding Georgetown Park Lake.
