Overview

Allendale Nursing & Rehabilitation Community completed a new $3.5 Million addition that added 31 transitional care beds to their existing operations. Split design of the new rooms allows for a more personalized approach to care while residents are transitioning from rehabilitation to home. Additional highlights in the new addition include The Bistro, which offers fine dining options and close access to the centralized nurse station, kitchenette serving area, and activity areas.

The building offers two spacious natural lighted family lounges and a landscaped pergola-covered courtyard with a water feature. Additional outside walking areas have also been incorporated into the design. In-room specialties include Euro-bathing with stone inlays. The incorporation of in-room supplies and storage improves staff efficiency.

Construction was sequenced in four phases. Phase 3 included renovation of the existing structure which serves up 29 residents. Phase 4 consisted of the construction and renovation of a new therapy gym, chapel, physician’s office, staff training room, and conference room.
