We are excited to announce our partnership with West Michigan Community Bank to bring a refreshed renovation of their Jenison branch to life!
As West Michigan Community Bank (WMCB) began looking to make significant updates to their Jenison branch, Lakewood Architecture came alongside their team early in the process to tailor the optimal solution for their refresh. Even small decisions at the beginning of projects can have big impacts later on, so working with a client as a unified team from the very start allows us to help them navigate strategic design approaches, ensure constructability, maintain brand standards across locations, and equip them with decision-ready information to make the best decisions for budget and goals.
WMCB customers can look forward to a beautifully updated branch designed to modernize the space, open up the layout, and improve overall customer flow. Highlights include a striking wood slat ceiling, custom accent tiles, and a new coffee bar for customers to enjoy as they are welcomed into the new lobby. Behind the scenes, bank staff will benefit from improved office flow, safer sight lines throughout the branch, new TCLR machines, and enhanced staff spaces like restrooms and break rooms.
Renovations are scheduled to be completed Spring 2026.
The branch will stay open throughout construction and clients are welcomed to visit the branch as construction continues.

Project Announcement- Zeeland Board of Public Works Office Upgrades
We are excited to announce our project with Zeeland Board of Public Works for a 2,500sf expansion and a 2,500sf renovation of existing space, for a total of 5,000sf of improved space.
While navigating office flow challenges and space constraints in their main office, Zeeland Board of Public Works (ZBPW) recognized it was time for a change—one that would better serve both their team and the community. Following the completion of our partnership on their award-winning warehouse facility in 2023, Zeeland BPW once again partnered with Lakewood Construction to return to campus to expand and restructure their office space.
Community members will experience the benefits firsthand through a newly expanded lobby featuring updated teller areas and new restrooms. Site improvements include a fully redesigned parking lot with enhanced traffic flow, heated handicap parking spaces, and heated sidewalks—advancing safety, accessibility, and year-round usability.
For staff, the upgraded space delivers improved workflow, increased office and seating capacity, and a more comfortable work environment. The entire facility will also benefit from enhanced natural light, HVAC improvements, and new energy-efficient lighting throughout.
Construction is scheduled for completion in Spring 2026.
